Have it all, own it all
And leave it stripped from your
Reckless spree; one
Man’s thirst is another’s misery.
Overly rehearsed for a flow of free,
Nature and man’s dance in symphony
Yet with one’s purity, the other’s apathy, can it be?

An Acrostic poem written for Eugi’s harmony prompt.

  1. Well written, Matt! You have a unique flair for the acrostic form. The pace and line breaks in this composition create a wonderful, even flow. The word choices and philosophical tone lend a sense of wondering and hopefulness to the piece. Then you close powerfully by leaving a question for each reader to answer for themselves. The prophetic meets the poetic. Great stuff!
